About
Off Duty is a zine focusing on the characters featured in the story modes of the Splatoon games engaging in everyday/casual activities (examples include grocery shopping, hanging out, or getting food). These characters include the idols (The Squid Sisters, Off the Hook, Deep Cut), the Agents (Captain/former Agent 3, Agents 3, 4, and 8, and any fan agents one may have), Craig Cuttlefish, and the many enemy octarains featured in the games.
Requirements
• Must be 13 or older
• Must have a Discord account to join our Discord if accepted
• You will be given one 1920x1080 page to illustrate on, no more than that! If it is NOT 1920x1080, then it will be rejected from the zine. A template will be provided for those who need it once you are accepted!
• YOU MUST HAVE A SFW PORTFOLIO READY!

FAQ
• EVERYTHING IN THIS ZINE WILL BE SFW. This means: no sexual elements, gore, or anything of the sort. Us mods are all minors and do not want to be subjected to any of this.• You do not need to have any previous zine experience to participate! We would love to hear about anything else you have done as a line of reference, but it will not impact much and your inclusion will be decided majorly by other factors.• Agent OCs are encouraged as much as canonical Agents! This includes things such as non-canon Agents (like having an Agent 5 or two of Agent 4) and custom/off model hairstyles.• Headcanon designs are also encouraged of non-player characters like Callie or Marie as long as they are discernible as their respective characters. THIS DOES NOT MEAN WHITEWASHING IS ALLOWED IN ANY SHAPE OR FORM. If you whitewash any of the idols or anything else, you will be automatically kicked off.If you have any questions for us, please contact [email protected] and we will respond ASAP.
Portfolio Guidelines
This is being provided to help with portfolio creation!• Your best pieces should be positioned at the front. This is so we get a good idea of what you’re capable of!• In this zine, we’re looking for those with good skills in environmental illustration. Examples include drawing cities, objects, and nature.• Poses do not have to be incredibly dynamic, but stiff poses aren’t a good fit for this zine either! So when making your portfolio, please stray away from showing us stiff poses.
